Kojaagari Purnima | Sharad Purnima

At night, goddess Lakshmi is worshiped and night vigil is observed. According to a folk-tale, once a king fell on evil days, and was in great financial straits, but then his queen observed this fast and night vigil, and worshiped the goddess of wealth, Laxmi. accordingly, they were blessed by the goddess and they regained their prosperity.

It is also believed that on this day as moon and the earth are very close to each other, the moon rays have certain healing properties of nourishing the body and the soul.

All over India Women get ready to celebrate Nag Panchami. This festival is committed to the devotion snakes. The snake is believe to protect the children of the women who worship it. Full bowls of milk are offer near snake mounds as part of the ceremony. Women's go to the Shiv temple for worship of snake and shankar god.

Today people in home on wall stick the photo or picture of the Nag Narsoba and this picture  remove when completed shravan month.

In Village Nag panchami celebration is very attractive and motivational. On this day, all women’s gather and play the game. It is very interesting. Women and small girl play old games like jimma , Phugadi etc. and sing a song based on festival.
